Meta opened summit of Brdo-Brioni Process

Albania’s President Ilir Meta opened today in Tirana working phase of the Brdo – Brioni Process in which leaders of the Western-Balkans Six, Croatia, Slovenia, and EU should discuss strengthening cooperation in the region and its European perspective.

“It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome the leaders of the Brdo-Brioni Process on the Europe Day in Tirana " Meta said during opening of the regular annual session of the leaders of the countries involved in the initiative formed by Croatia and Slovenia in 2013. with the intention to speed up Western Balkans’ approach to the EU.
In addition to Albanian President Ilir Meta, as the host and two co-presidents of the summit, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and Slovenian President Borut Pahor, Montenegro's President Milo Djukanovic, Serbia's Aleksandar Vucic, Kosovo's Hashim Thacias well as outgoing president of North Macedonia Djordje Ivanov and from BiH the chairman of the Presidency Milorad Dodik and member of the Presidency, Shefik Dzaferovic, also attended the summit in Tirana,.
Poland's president Andrzej Duda, as well as the EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Federica Mogherini, who, as expected, used the opportunity to revive the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, attend the gathering as honorary guests.
