PLENKOVIC’S MESSAGE

We are sending a new message in the relationship between Croats and the Serb minority

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said today that it was crucial that 25 years after the Storm a new message was sent about the relationship between Croats and the Serbian minority, Serbia and Croatia, as well as about what kind of Croatia is being built.

"As for the arrival of Deputy Prime Minister Boris Milosevic, I can say that this initiative of mine was logical, natural, normal. It is crucial that 25 years after the Storm we send an important signal where the SDSS political representative, also the Deputy Prime Minister, comes to the Storm and sends a new message for Croatian society," said Plenkovic after laying wreaths on Mirogoj on the eve of the Victory Day.

Minorities are an integral part of Croatian society and their representatives are the Croatian legal and political heritage of the past 30 years, Plenkovic pointed out, adding that only in this way can Croatian values and what Croatia is based on, which are also European values, be firmly rooted, Hina agency reports.

Asked whether the government would in turn have changes in the policy of better integration of Serbs regarding the arrival of Milosevic in Knin, he said that all representatives of minorities, including Serbs, were in the parliamentary majority in the last term, too, and that now their participation is higher.
