Sending additional soldiers and helicopters to Kosovo

The Government of Croatia adopted the Draft Proposal of the Decision on the Participation of the Croatian Armed Forces in the KFOR Peace Support Operation in Kosovo.

According to that draft, the Croatian contingent in KFOR is increasing from the previous 40 to 150 members and two helicopters of the Croatian Air Force.

Last week, Croatian media reported that the 34th Croatian Contingent (HRVCON) had been sent to NATO's KFOR peacekeeping operation in Kosovo, and that 20 members of the 34th Croatian KFOR contingent had set off from Zagreb by road to Kosovo, via Montenegro and Albania.
