3.8 ON THE RICHTER SCALE
A new earthquake in Croatia caused new damage
Petrinja Mayor Darinko Dumbovic stated that a 3.8 magnitude earthquake this morning caused new damage, especially in the area of Glina.
He pointed out that Glinska Poljana and the surrounding villages were severely damaged, where " many houses" were damaged, Dumbovic said.
He added that 52 local committees in the area reported great damage, so he stressed that priorities in the destroyed economic and social infrastructure should be set in the area.
"We need peace and patience and the state should do everything to keep people in this area," he stressed. Dumbovic called on the state to no longer view the county as an area of special state concern, "because it was a living example in a pre-centralized state that there is no help here."
