The historic core of Petrinja can be renovated in five years

A long, in some parts, demanding and expensive reconstruction would follow after the devastating earthquake. This especially referred to the center of Petrinja because the historical core is a protected cultural monument.

A local architect told Croatian Television that the historic core of Petrinja could be restored relatively quickly, over a period of four to five years.

He believed it was important to ensure the return of people to their homes.

He pointed out that prefabricated buildings are a good temporary option, but that they would very soon prove to be too small for a normal life.
