Rail transport in loss of 1.38 million

Railway transport of Montenegro (ZPCG) ended the first half of the year with a net loss of 1.38 million euros, 1.4 times higher than in the same period last year.

According to the data from the business report, published on the website of the Montenegro Stock Exchange, the operating revenues of the company majority-owned by the state amounted to 3.04 million euros at the end of June, which is 9.9 percent more than in the comparative period.

Operating expenses rose 17.4 percent to 4.34 million euros. Of this, the cost of salaries, fees and other personal expenses amounted to 2.07 million euros, depreciation and provisions amounting to 735.1 thousand euros, and materials 500.8 thousand euros.

The total assets of ZPCG amounted to 37.96 million euros, which was 4.2 percent lower than in the comparative period.

Accumulated loss amounts to 26.15 million euros, long-term provisions and liabilities 8.35 million and short-term 13.64 million euros.

According to the Central Depository Agency (CDA), the state owns 90.79 percent of ZPCG shares, while Eurofond and Trend have 2.4 percent, and 1.5 percent of shares. Other shareholders have less than one percent of ownership.
