MARKOVIC BELIEVES

This will be the year of higher wages and living standard

Prime Minister Dusko Markovic said that 2019 has to be year of improvement of living standard of employees in the public as well as the private sector.

"I believe that 2019 will be a year of higher earnings for employees not only in the administration but also in private sector, that in 2019 we will create prerequisites for the growth of pensions in Montenegro," Markovic told reporters in Bijelo Polje.

Markovic said that in previous two years, the Government was devoted to the creation of preconditions for faster economic development and new jobs.

"We did a lot," prime minister said and recalled that the growth rate of the economy in 2017 was 4.7 percent, while 11,000 new jobs were created.
