Millions of euros for the mission in Afghanistan

For the Army participation in international missions and operations, last year the state spent 1.412.312 euros, according to the Report on state of the Montenegrin Army for the year 2018.

The report, which was adopted yesterday by the Government, states that the most was spent on the "Resolute Support" mission in Afghanistan, 1.04 million euros.

For the "EU Navfor - Atalanta" mission, about 233,256 euros were spent, for "EU Training Mission - EUTM" in Mali 57,548 euros, while the mission is in the Western Sahara cost 45,337 euros.

For NATO activities in Latvia, 26,214 euros were allocated, and for participation in KFOR in Kosovo, 5,850 euros.

The total costs of the Army of Montenegro, according to the report, last  year amounted to 36,642,447 euros.

"In the coming period, the goal is to ensure stable financing of the costs for the defense and the establishment of a sustainable cost structure in percentage ratio: 50 percent for equipping and modernizing, 30 percent for personal expenses and 20 percent for operating expenses," the report says.
