The ministry and the state have a unique position to find an effective model to improve the standard of health care workers, including the possibility of raising wages, the statement said.

Healthcare professionals are the pillar of every healthcare system and if we wishquality healthcare system we must, among other things, have a satisfiedhealth worker, the ministry said.

"In conducting the policy of the Government of Montenegro, The Ministry of Healthis constantly creating an environment that enables all employees in public health institutions to have a better standard and optimal working conditions with procurement of quality, modern medical equipment, as well as education and professional training of health professionals at all levels,"the statement said.

The ministry said that Montenegrin health system has become richer for 234 specialist doctorsin the past two years, while 430 doctors are currently on specialization.

They also pointed out that the Government had purchased modern medical equipment for all health facilitiesin the previous period, worth almost 11 million euros, while five million was allocated for this purpose this year.

"The Montenegrin government allocates half a million euros on an annual levelfor the program of continuing medical education," they said in a statement.
