Caretaker government is a condition for fair elections

President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) DraginjaVuksanovic-Stankovic said the caretaker government was a key condition for fair elections and control of the entire electoral process.

In an interview with Radio Montenegro she said that the adoption of electoral laws is a complicated business.She recalled that the SDP did not support the extension of the electoral reform committee's deadline.

"In order to have elections in accordance with democratic standards, the government has to understand that there is a huge amount of mistrust because of the numerous affairs of the government.The Video Clip affair is not resolved, we have the Envelope affair.The DPS does not show willingness to show the basic principle of political responsibility, " Vuksanovic-Stankovicsaid.

Speaking about participation in the elections if there is no caretaker government, Vuksanovic-Stankovic said that they had not yet discussed it at the party organs level, but that the SDP always favors dialogue.
