CONTRACT ENTERED INTO FORCE

Obodofficially leased for 30 years

The 30-year lease agreement on Obod's real estate came into force after a consortium comprised of the Canadian company Eviana Health Corporation, Montenegro Bio Science d.o.o. and Ramel d.o.o. fulfilled all statutory obligations.

This fulfills the conditions for the former regional giant in the production of household appliances to get a new purpose, which should primarily increase economic activity in Cetinje and generate new employment.

"I am pleased to say that Obod's real estate is now in a long-term lease.We have successfully completed this business activity, which should give a new impetus to the development of the city, influence the stabilization of local finances and, most importantly, provide jobs for at least 100 of our fellow citizens,"said Mayor AleksandarKascelan.

The consortium will deal with the cultivation of industrial hemp and the extraction of CBD oil from industrial hemp’s dry flower for industrial and nutritional purposes.

"The projections are that this branch of the industry at the global level will have stable growth in the coming years, which further strengthens us in the belief that we have made a good business arrangement," Cascelan said.

The consortium has committed to invest at least 10 million euros in the period of two and a half years since the signing of the contract, and to allocate at least 10 percent of the realized net profit to the account of the Capital. The leaseholder is also obliged to pay a monthly lease, i.e.to pay 660 thousand euros annually to the Capital's giro account on that basis.
