IMPERCEPTIBLY

Corona did not bring down real estate prices significantly

Real estate prices, during the coronavirus pandemic, did not fall as much as has been expected, so apartments in old buildings, in the part of the city across the Moraca river, can be bought for up to €1,300 per square meter, owner of a Podgorica real estate agency Edita Dautovic said.

During the Television of Montenegro (TVCG) the Jutarnji program show she reminded that the real estate market completely stopped during the corona virus pandemic, so at one point there was neither supply nor demand.

Despite everything, she believes that better days are coming for the real estate market in Montenegro.
"There are several factors that affect the market itself, and I am optimistic, because I went through different phases," Dautovic said.
When it comes to renting apartments, she says that the prices have been up to €50 lower, while the rent in more luxurious apartments has been significantly reduced.
"In more luxurious apartments, in new buildings in the area across Moraca river, rents tend to be even up to €150 lower, because the owners want to rent out. It is better when the property is in use, because maintenance has to be paid," Dautovic said.
