Krsto Radovic from Democratic Montenegro was elected President of the Municipal Assembly of Budva.

Radovic's election was supported by 18 councilors, while three abstained, TVCG reports.

At the session of the Municipal Assembly of Budva, the municipal parliament was previously constituted and 33 mandates were verified.

According to the results of the Municipal Election Commission, after the local elections held on August 30, the coalition "For the Future of Budva" has 14 councilors, the Democrats six, while the URA has one councilor mandate.

The coalition around the Democratic Party of Socialists has 11 board seats, and the Social Democratic Party has one.

The oldest councilor of the Municipal Assembly of Budva, Gojko Lijesevic, who chaired the session, thanked the citizens who went to the polls and said that democracy in Budva is moving at a sweeping pace.
