DRASKOVIC ANNOUNCED

2,400 recovered in Niksic

Epidemiologist IvonaDraskovic says that the last two weeks have seen relief when it comes to the number of people infected with the corona virus in Niksic, which is currently 388. She expects that the situation will be better in the coming period and that the spread of infection will decrease.

"Currently, we have 388 patients with the corona virus, over 2400 recovered, and you are always counting on a number of people who had a corona but did not report it. The most important thing is to reduce gatherings indoorsso that citizens can walk in the open air as much as possible. It is important to protect the elderly and thus reduce the number of hospitalizations. That is how the epidemiological situation will remain stable,"Draskovic told Public Service.

She adds that health workers are already feeling relief with a reduction of the number of infected.

"We have a decline in Niksic. We were in the red zone but now the epidemiological situation is improving, which can be seen by the number of patients we have, as well as by the number of those who are examined in the Covid clinic,"said Draskovic.

She points out that each doctor examines about 50, 60 patients a day, including control examinations.

"There are up to 70 tests a day, depending on the day," the epidemiologist added.
