Bar and Berane: 5 patients died

In the last 24 hours, five patients died in the general hospitals in Bar and Berane as a result of Covid-19 infection, it was announced from those health institutions.

Four people died in Bar's General Hospital, the director of the Bar General Hospital, Dr. Dragoslav Tomanovic, told Radio Montenegro. He stated that two patients were from Bar (born in 1942 and 1943), and two from Ulcinj (born in 1948 and 1957).

Earlier, a 74-year-old patient from Murino died of coronavirus at the General Hospital in Berane.

Tomanovic announced that 71 patients are being treated at the Covid ward of the local hospital, and all of them, he says, have a serious clinical picture.

“Five patients are in the Intensive Care Unit, two of them on an invasive respirator and one on non-invasive ventilation,” he said.

66 patients with suspected coronavirus were examined in the Covid ambulance in Bar yesterday.

When it comes to the General Hospital in Berane, 35 patients are treated in that institution.

At the moment, 61 patients are hospitalized in the Public Institution General Hospital Niksic.

"Six patients are life-threatened and are in the Intensive Care Unit. There are currently no patients on the respirator. The other patients have stable vital parameters and are currently feeling well," the health institution said in a statement.
