INSTITUTE ANNOUNCED
By violating the measures, we make the situation worse
The images that could be seen throughout Montenegro over the weekend do not give reasons for optimism, violation of measures and non-sanctioning of such behavior certainly leads to worsening of the situation, it was assessed from Institute of Public Health (IPH).
They note that the number of infected people and the overload of the health system is an indicator of the alarming situation with the coronavirus in our country.
They remind that as of yesterday, there are currently 9,400 infected people in Montenegro, while the number of deaths since the beginning of the year is 391.
"Having in mind the extremely complex situation and the degree of endangerment of the health of our citizens, the Institute of Public Health proposed a complete closure for a period of three to four weeks. The suggested model would lead to a reduction in local transmissions and the number of newly infected on a daily basis. When pandemic is in question, i.e. the global challenge, the coronavirus would not completely disappear, but the number of infected would be significantly reduced. In that way, we would put the epidemic under control, relieve the health care system and create conditions for us to return to regular activities and lifestyle over time, with mitigated measures," the IPH states.
Respecting the attitudes of economic entities and the difficult situation in which they find themselves, the Institute of Public Health, as they pointed out, proposed health measures to NKT that would enable the functioning of the economy and the preservation of jobs while protecting the health of citizens.
