RADOJEVIC

72 percent of Kovid beds in KCCG filled

In the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) 72 percent of the currently available 108 COVID beds has been filled, said the assistant director of that health institution, Nemanja Radojevic, and added that 67 health workers are positive.

He said that the possibility of extending the COVID part of the hospital is still large, both in terms of the type of beds available, and when it comes to oxygen outlets and ventilators.

"The medical staff workload is somewhat lower thanks to the arrived specialists, but it is still great, especially having in mind the duration of the epidemic," Radojevic told the MINA agency.

He stated that currently 67 health workers are positive, out of which 15 doctors, 41 nurses and technicians, and the rest are non-medical workers.

"Most of them got infected in social contacts outside the regular working process in the hospital," Radojevic added.

The KCCG, he said, treats 78 patients with 19 COVID infections - 29 at the Infectious Diseases Department and 46 at the Internal Medicine Clinic.

"In the non-COVID part of the hospital there patients who have been hospitalized for other reasons, but were find to be SARS CoV2 positive (of which seven are in the Clinic for Orthopedics and Traumatology with different types of bone fractures)," Radojevic said.

He said that in KCCG 30 patients were in critical condition, while 11 were on various forms of ventilation.
