We are intensively negotiating vaccine procurement

Today, the government presents the National Strategy for Immunization against SARS - CoV-2 (COVID-19).

The Minister of Health, Dr Jelena Borovinic Bojovic, said that the Government is intensively negotiating vaccine procurement. As she says, bilateral negotiations are underway, but also negotiations within the Covax initiative.

"These negotiations are intensive. We have agreements with all manufacturers and all countries that offer the vaccine," Borovinic Bojovic said.

The head of the Office of the World Health Organization in Montenegro, Mina Brajovic, said that the Strategy defined the priority groups for immunisation, and those are health workers, but also the elderly, as well as chronic patients.

The epidemiologist of the Institute of Public Health, Dr Dragan Lausevic, said that the document they made regarding the vaccination plan was submitted to the Government.

The national strategy, as he specified, contains 11 chapters.
