Appointment of Brdjanin as the head of the PA today in the Government

The appointment of Zoran Brdjanin was the best solution for the position of director of the Police Administration, Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic said, adding that the proposal to appoint Brdjanin will be sent to the Government today.

Answering the questions of the journalists after the conference "Extremism, terrorism and religion", Abazovic said that the appointment of Brdjanin was a proposal of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Sergej Sekulovic.
"There is full support from my side and I think the position of all members of the Government is the same," Abazovic added.
Asked whether the position of the Western partners about Brdjanin as a candidate for director of police and Dejan Vuksic as the head of the National Security Agency is known, Abazovic answered that it was.
As he stated, any person who should take an important position in the security sector, must pass certain checks.
"If you talk specifically about Brdjanin, he has been checked several times so far because he has been active in the police before, and someone who has had significant access to data earlier," Abazovic said.
He said that he was sorry that everything in Montenegro has to get some drama and mystique, as if those were people from unknown structures.
"We are a small community, everyone knows everyone. We need educated, dignified and honorable people. In the end, the result will show whether they are working properly or not," Abazovic said.

He said that many people who were in the police could not get results because, as he assessed, the structure at the very top was set up incorrectly.
"I ask you to give the new government a chance to show whether it will achieve results or not.

I think that there are some in these two months already, and I think that in the next period there will be even more", Abazovic added.
