No digital COVID-19 confirmation in malls

Due to the better epidemiological situation in Montenegro, the National Digital COVID certificate will no longer be needed as a condition for entering shopping malls, business centers and office buildings that have over a thousand square meters of space. This was announced at a press conference by the director of the Institute of Public Health (IJZ), Igor Galic.

Galic said that the number of new cases of the new corona virus in the last two weeks (from September 23 to October 6) dropped by 40 percent compared to the two weeks before that period (from September 9 to September 22).

"The number of hospitalized persons on October 5 is about 11 percent lower than on September 9. In the last two weeks, the total number of deaths is about 18 percent lower than the total number of deaths two weeks earlier," Galic said.

Accordingly, the Government of Montenegro, as he said, has decided that the measures in the fight against the corona virus will be adjusted to the situation on the ground.

"Therefore, as of Saturday, October 9, the National Digital COVID certificate will be abolished as a condition for entering shopping centers, business centers and business buildings that have over a thousand square meters of space," said Galic.

Also, although it was announced, from tomorrow, COVID certificates will not be required as a condition when entering grocery stores that have over a thousand square meters of space.
