KORDIC

"I expect a balanced progress report"

The chief negotiator with the European Union, Zorka Kordic, told to Radio Montenegro that she expects a balanced progress report from the European Commission, and that the most important chapters will be in focus.

Also, she emphasizes that the European Commission will demand that the reforms of the election legislation continue.

"I expect a balanced progress report from the European Commission, and the focus will most likely be on the fundamental chapters. The European Commission will certainly treat the election legislation in the report, because it is relevant topic, and there were a lot of recommendations from the ODIHR to harmonize the election legislation, "Kordic said.

It is certainly good that there are working bodies in the Assembly that deal with electoral legislation, but the European Commission will ask for reforms to be accelerated.

"There are working bodies in the Assembly dealing with electoral legislation, and the focus is on several laws. However, the European Commission will encourage work on reform to be accelerated. The forthcoming progress report will certainly recommend that Montenegro reforms the electoral legislation ", Kordić concluded.
