Syria is falling apart before the eyes of the UN

The conflict in Syria has reached "unprecedented levels of horror", said the United Nations’ envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, and urged the UN to take something and stop the crime. He added that the legitimacy of the Syrian President Bashar is irreparably damaged because of conflict which have been going for 22 months, with him who is still able to be maintained the power.

,,Conflicts have reached unprecedented levels of horror". No end in sight for this tragedy. I'm sorry if I sound like a broken record, but the country is breaking up before everyone's eyes".Only the International community and, in the first place, Security Council, could help, "said Brahimi.

The government has become "repressive," Brahimi said, but he added that the both side - Asad forces and opposition committed "terrible crimes."

Brahimi also added that he was concerned for the countries surrounding Syria because of the conflict in that country, that got killed least 60,000 people so far, AFP quoted.
