Putin got a daughter with his mistress?

The private life of Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the middle of public interest once again, after the famous Russian rhythmic gymnast and former Olympian, Alina Kabaeva, gave birth to a daughter a month ago.

Vladimir Putin has long been linked to the 29-year-old rhythmic gymnast, and the two were already believed to have a 3-year-old son together. Five years ago, when the Moskovsky Korrespondent reported that Putin was secretly engaged to Kabaeva, the newspaper’s billionaire owner quickly retracted the story and closed the paper down. Is interesting to mention that the information about the child's birth appeared in the New York Post, and Moscow correspondent, for a fear of political retribution, wanted to stay anonymous. Putin’s wife, Lyudmila, hasn’t been seen in public since his inauguration last spring, and there was no official celebration of her 55th birthday earlier this month. Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov might have slipped in referring to Lyudmila as Putin’s “first wife” when he tweeted to wish her a “Caucasus-style long life.” Meanwhile, Lyudmila is said to be locked away in a state-built guest house on the grounds of the ancient Yelizarov monastery outside Pskov, close to Estonia’s border and she is not allowed to leave the residence.
