No sanctions on Russia for now

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Davos that Belgrade won’t impose sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine for the time being.

He told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that he can’t say what the future will bring. “I am not someone who swears to do something which he doesn’t do in the end,” he said.

Vucic added that he prefers not to promise but manage to do things.

“That is always better and I always trusted that approach more than others who swore by everything and then did things differently,” he said.

Vucic took part in a debate behind closed doors on the situation in Ukraine during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
