EPCG signed a contract

Representatives of the Montenegrin Electric Power Plant has signed a contract on supply of electricity to Niksic Steelworks this morning, after Toscelik did it yesterday afternoon. EPCG offered Toscelik price that is about ten percent higher than previously non-market, depending on the day or night consumption.

The contract for the delivery of electricity to Steelworks is signed for a 4/month period of time, states Mina- business agency, that is for January, February,

March and April. It is the first commercial contract between EPCG and Steelworks after the Energy Regulatory Agency stopped to determine the price of electricity to customers connected to the transmission system on 1st of January, including the Steelworks.

The price of electricity for customers connected to the transmission system of the first January is the market one, that is, it depends on the directly contract between these customers and the suppliers. Regarding this, Steelworks can negotiate with other suppliers, not only with the EPCG.

The Steelworks has recently stopped production, and the administration is sent on vacation. The government says that the reason for the shutdown is waiting for an agreement on the delivery of electricity.

Turkey company has launched in June last year the production in Steelworks

Plant, which employees about 200 workers.
