THE KLAP CAMPAIGN

Suspected of damaging the state for €1,500,000

Continuing the Klap campaign, police submitted to the Special State Prosecutor's Office two reports supplementing the crime charges against 27 legal entities and 26 natural persons suspected of causing damage to the state budget of about €1,500,000.

On February 19, police submitted to the Special State Prosecutor's Office a special report supplementing the criminal charges against 22 legal entities and 22 natural persons charged of long lasting creation of criminal organization and of tax evasion.

Criminal charges were filed against M.V.(42), N.P.(37), R.P.(46), E.R.(40), T.S.(29), I.B.(52), S.B.(61), P.R.(42), I.M.(42), P.J.(51), I.P.(46), G.R. (47), N.V. (35), M.R. (47), N.M. (40), D.M. (51), S.M. (49), R.K. (41), C.P. (64), B.D.(42), V.M.(36) i V.T. (38).

Companies founded by previously charged I.V. and D.L. have, over the past five years, allowed owners of 22 legal entities to obtain illicit property gain by "withdrawing" about € 4,000,000 in cash from fictitious business relationships, thereby causing damage to the budget of Montenegro for the unpaid tax in the amount of about €1,000,000.

Criminal charges were also filed against M.J.(60), M.V. (51), N.P.(36) and A.M.(38)

"The actions of these persons within the criminal organization caused damage to the budget of Montenegro in the amount of about €500,000, and the aforementioned persons, as members of the criminal organization, obtained for themselves illicit property gain in the same amount through illegally recovered VAT and unpaid profit tax,"
