Carevic is the head of the Municipality of Budva

The candidate for president and bearer of the list "For the Future of Budva", Marko Bato Carevic, was elected by the majority of councilors at today's session of the local parliament for the president of the Municipality of Budva in the next four-year term, RTV Budva reports.

Carevic was supported by 19 councilors out of a total of 33 in the newly formed parliamentary majority.

Members of the coalition "For the Future of Budva - Marko Bato Carevic" and Democrats voted in fovour of the election of Carevic to the position of President of the Municipality of Budva, while, beside Carevic himself, SDP councilor Petar Odzic and URA councilor Blazo Radjenovic abstained.

Today's session is not attended by 11 councilors from the coalition of DPS, SD, LP and the Montenegrin.

Carevic has held the office of the President of the Municipality of Budva since January 5 last year, until he was replaced in June this year by the then parliamentary majority, which consisted of councilors representing DPS, SD and the Montenegrin and independent councilor Stevan Dzakovic.
