EMPLOYEE SUPPORT

Damjanovic handed over the duty to Petricevic

The current acting director of the Revenue and Customs Administration, Aleksandar Damjanovic, handed over the duty to the newly appointed acting director Milena Petricevic.

Management employees gathered in front of the building to support Damjanovic with applause.

Handing over the duty, Damjanovic said that he hoped Petricevic would deserve the trust of the employees.

"I consider it a normal act of technical character because it is completely normal to have continuity in the Administration itself because this is a serious system that is more important than any individual," Damjanovic said.

He added that he had discussed technical matters with Minister Spajic and that it was Spajic's turn, not his. He denied the information that his engagement continues in company ‘’Monteput’’.

He is convinced that Petricevic will also improve the work of the Management Board.

"I don't have much advice to give her except to stick to two principles that I followed. It is complete depoliticization in the Administration and complete non-selectivity towards taxpayers. With those two principles and the support of the employees, I think that the Administration will function properly, which is important because of the system and the state, "Damjanovic said.

Petricevic said that she had no doubt that the employees had reason to regret that Damjanovic's mandate was not extended.

"But they welcomed me in the form in which they could. I have no complaints. I hope that in the future our relationship will be good", she said.

She pointed out that Damjanovic gained the trust of the employees and that she hoped that she would deserve it as well.

"Damjanovic gave me useful advice and provided an overview of all the important activities that caught up with him and that he started," Petricevic pointed out.
