Public broadcaster suiting all citizens

We cannot be dissatisfied with the two-year performance, but in the coming period we have a lot of work and investments ahead of us to make the Public Service suit all citizens of Montenegro, said the General Director of Radio-Television of Montenegro (RTCG) Bozidar Sundic.

On the occasion of 76 anniversaryof Radio and 56 years of Television of Montenegro, in an interview with the youngest media in our house - RTCGPortal, he said that the results of the Public Broadcastermanagement team, which took over the offices in December 2018, are impressive.

According to Sundic, they are visible in the program-production, as well as in all other plans. The General Director of RTCG says that a careful and responsible attitude towards taxpayers' funds, in terms of finances, has resulted in positive results, both in 2018 and in 2019.

"The position of the head of the Public Service seams a comfortable one only to the uninformed. Montenegro is a deeply divided society, in which everything could be forgiven except success, and each half of the society pleads that its truth, political orientation or religious affiliation is the most important, if not the only." Sundic said. In such conditions, he says, it is difficult to find a balance and ensure the smooth functioning of the system and the work of editorial teams, which, he says, are constantly criticized for why they did or did not publish something. "We are aware of that and we do admit our mistakessometimes," Sundic said.
